Actually, yes... If you can find a frequency counter that is accurate enough
you will discover that your crysal is off by a tiny bit.  By working the
math on the mixer stages you will find that that minimal error of your LO
will generate a significant error at RF.  When I built the DSP-10 it was off
about 9kHz and the only way to correct it was to provide a 10.0000 MHz
signal to the external frequency input.  That is the reason that it has been
suggested to use a GPS 10 MHz reference osc.  When an exactly 10 MHz signal
is supplied, the two PLLs will lock exactly on 126 MHz and 19.68 MHz instead
of 125.995 or 19.679 (or some other freq that is just a hair off).  I
orignally used the cheaper epson crystal replacement but that caused a
15kHz+ error.

I finished my dsp10 kit. So far so good.
...But the fequency of the transceiver is 5 khz to high !

someone had the same problem ?
