[DSP-10] construction's doubts

However, I don't really understand the drawing showing external connections 
in Figure 11 pg38 Oct/99. What is the difference between the one which like 
a tube going through FB and the one which has a '-' sign inside a square 
box? How to connect those components? Does anyone has a picture showing 
these connections?

I have 2 components, both have 3 leads, one with the leads in the same row, 
another with only 2 leads in the same row. I believe they are J201 and J202. 
But, which one is which?

What are SSB, CW and RIT?

Sorry if my questions sound simple, because I'm new in this area.
