Hi Teik,
Glad to see you are excited!
My advice is to go slow, read everything you can before you start.
Understand changes have been made since the original article. Many of those
changes are on the DSP-10 web pages and reflected in the TAPR kitting. But
there are a few that are not.
Make sure that when you do something (solder a part, drill a hole, cut a
wire) that you understand what and why you are doing it. If there's
something that does not look right, stop, read, ponder, then either proceed
or ask on the list. There's many people on the list that have built a
DSP-10 and they are here to help you. I myself have built two.
Another great resource to read is the DSP-10 list archives. Go back and
read from the beginning and take notes.
I started an assembly manual and I'll email you the latest I have in a
separate email. I also took photos of the second DSP-10 I built to make an
assembly web page. It's not done yet, but I can post a picture or two to
help. Take this assembly manual, start reading every DSP-10 web page, read
other's DSP-10 web pages (do a Google search), and read all the list
archives and take notes.
Don't just send email with your questions directly to individuals. Post
them to the list for all to read and learn about your journey. We'll be
here to reply to your questions.
Then in the end, tell us how you did.
Good luck!
