To whom it may concern....

Hello ALL....and mainly to builders of the EZ Kit box...

My box is ready and the EZ Kit is in there now and in the test-stage.
I like to mention some thing how I dided...

1. I used a 8 Volt regulator and not the supplyed 9 Volt one. This reduces
the heat by about 25 % which is now carried
to the inside-wall and outside-wall of the box.

2. The "heat-sink" from the 5 Volt onboard regulator is a small silver brass
strip and is good to get the heat away so as
the regulator never gets hoter then "handwarm".

3. RS 232 connections from J3 inside the EZ Kit box are not soldered to the
bottom of the pc board. I took a spare 9 pin
male connector a part and used only the pins. Pluged them in J3 and fine
wires running in a piece of coax-shield
to the feed-through capacitors to the front of the box.

All details can be seen on the website www.walter-schroeer.de/id21.htm

I hope this will help somebody a bit......best 73 de Hermann DC9UP
