AW: [DSP-10] ICOM MIKE

I use the DSP-10 with an Icom HM 12 mike and it works well. The Icom =
User Manuals show, that on the mike connector Pin 2 +8 Volt DC output =
is available. That is true but the Icom mike needs the Bias voltage on =
Pin 1. I use a Icom mike connector not the 5 Pin Din included in the =
TAPR kit. I've connected to Pin 2 5 Volts DC out from the DSP-10 Unit. =
>From Pin 1 I soldered a 1kOhm resistor to Pin 2 directly on the =
connector.
Hope that helps

The Icom mike does require a bias voltage to make it work and some have=20
pre-amps in them. Just haven't had the time yet to figure it all out. =
The=20
reason I want to be able to use the Icom mike is the fact I use the Icom =
746 as a liaison rig thus it gives me a spare mike and would like to =
have=20
one backup mike instead of two.
