John,

I too am in the midst of building the DSP-10. There is an Iron
recommended in the instruction sheet. The folks did ship it to me and I
had it in a very few days. You will see in your inventory that you
received some solder and other goodies that are all very helpful.
Others here have been disappointed with the hook up wire, you might want
to look around for some that you can work with better than the stranded
that came with the parts. Every time I read the papers that I have I
learn something new. The parts have no order but it is suggested that
you start with the 'lowest profile' and work up from there. I've put on
all of the SMDs that were taped to the parts list. I did take a parts
list with locations and sort by part value so I could take a single part
and install it in all the places it was used. In my next life I'll take
the parts list and add a column to indicate special notes. Then re-read
the papers and add the notes to the parts list.
