Paul,

this part looks interesting.
It looks like it cannot be used direct with the
GPS locked reference design published by TAPR since that
construction needs an analog tuning voltage. Pherhaps the TAPR design
can be modified for digital tuning. For a low drift
osc w/o GPS locking , this osc look good. You probably do need to read the 
temperature serially and then implement a closed loop control with setting 
the frequency register serially. For this you would need a microcontroller 
and some code.  The way I interpreted the datasheet by taking a quick look 
it looked like the closed loop is not internally implemented.
