[DSP-10] Various Ezlite part numbers

Guys

Let me get this straight. There are two EZLITE Kits kicking around. They are identical hardware-wise, but in terms of software one version has Windows cripple ware and the other is DOS based. Further, if I understand, the Windows cripple ware will not work as the code is too big, so the only option is to get the DOS version. But the DOS version, though cheaper, is near impossible to get. 

Now, this leads to a couple of questions, assuming I understand correctly, short of the near impossibility of finding a DOS version (ADDS-21XX-EZLITE, P/N 35-000286-01) you are basically, up the creek as far as building this kit and having it work. Right? Barring re-engineering of the kit, are there other options, such as getting a hold of the DOS version of the software? Are there copy-right issues? Can someone with the DOS version share his/her copy and still have this work? Is the DOS version still available from Analog Devices?

Clearly, I have many questions and am confused. I have tried following this discussion and it seems to raise its head from time to time, but without getting to the nub of the issue. 

I obviously have ADDS-2181 EZLITE P/N 35-000560-01 and I am wondering if I spent my money foolishly.
