I think the point Jim is trying to make is the other than the responses to 
his inquiry the list has been dead.. All the very good reasons to keep the 
net that have been mentioned here are not valid if the none of the reasons 
have been used in probably a couple of years at least.

Sad to see anything boatanchor related pass into history but totally
understand the work involved.  I would suggest yahoo "Drake Radio
Operators" as an alternative, which is a closed group.  The "Drake Radio"
group is unrestricted and seems to be overloaded by spam and advertisements.
