[Drake] Drake tuning smoothness

I have a Drake TR4CWrit.

It works perfectly, but the tuning is not as easy as my other Drakes.

Very close, but not quite as "loose".

I recall lots of writings about the Drake gears...some metal, some teflon.

This being the last version of the TR4, I'm guessing it has teflon gears.

Am I correct that you don't lubricate these at all??   clean with a 
toothbrush??

It is not bad at all, I may leave it alone..but if I'm in there...how do 
I PM the tuning?
