Hey Ron,
I am using a HQ-170, at present, with my 2-NT. I also use a couple 2-B/2-BQ rcvrs
with various xmtrs. You are right, from my experience, the 2-B is still a very good
rcvr and with the 2-BQ....superb....on CW & SSB. I've got another 2-B somewhere
in the pile, so if I can find it, will probably try it with the 2-NT, unless I find a good
2-C at a good price...good luck on that, right?....hi.
Tnx...73 de Bill K4JYS

Hi Bill. I have the 2C/2CQ/2NT combo. I've had a couple of the Lafayette VFOs that worked quite well. The 2B and 2C are amazing little radios......

Good afternoon,
Just wondering what vintage VFO would be suitable for the Drake 2-NT.
Curious about any that would be stable and easy to hook up...self powered
would be a plus and no solid state (except possibly the rectifiers).
Thanks.....73 de Bill K4JYS
