[Drake] Drake L75 knowledge??

I know I might be hard pressed to even find someone that owns one of 
these, but looking for advice.

Blew fuse a few times...I put new fuses in.
Then, some cracking sounds, finally, HV shut off.
Opened it up to find the .82 ohm resistor (fuse) blown.

Replaced the resistor, and tried again.
Full output...all is well. (for a CQ or two)
Then cracking sounds again.
Still full output, but smell of burnt bakelite.
Shut down, and will pop it open again.

Any ideas??

Not antenna problems, Put my 30L1 in its' place, it works fine.

I suspect the diode/capacitor bank requires focus.  Perhaps just old and 
in need of many replacements.
