[Drake] The Drake list will continue!

Granted. The format may be better, but that has nothing to do with the
quality of information passed via the list.

For what it is worth: the overall level of Ham activity has never really
recovered after the seven+ years of useless propagation from the so called
'last solar cycle'. Hams got so frustrated, especially DX'ers and NCS
people, that many closed up their Shack. Some for good, some for a while.

When those who participate in various Nets can not hear the NCS, sometimes
nobody at all, after three or four weeks of this in a row they give up. Some
turn the RX back on a few weeks later and check the bands, some never turn
the equipment on again! Sad! But after about seven years of almost no
propagation, even the most devoted Hams get discouraged.

It is up to we older Hams to try and keep the others interested! What
happened with that cycle from Hell is not the first time such a thing has
happened, nor, unfortunately, will it be the last time either! So support
your list memberships! Support the radio Nets! Support the various and
sundry DX events etc. If we all keep the 'sparks' flying, the 'gap' in
contacts will shrink like a pair of bluejeans washed in really hot water!
