[Drake] T-4XB Problem

	I would start checking the carrier crystal oscillator;  when in Tune, 
C1 (10 pF) is shortcircuited, but inserted in series with the crystal in 
CW mode, to raise frequency 1 KHz.

Perhaps C1 is bad, do you hear a steady beat tone (at another receiver) 
when either cold or after 20' operation?.
