[Drake] R-4B mechanical question

Jack,
If it is anything like the tr-3 brass couplers, there is an insert that is about 
3/4 inch long made from spring steel.  At each end, it is bent in the same 
direction about 20 degrees, about 1/8 inch from each end.  Maybe others have 
better dimensions than I have offered.
