Ron -

Agreed.  The RV-4 helps a little by giving you a little more flexibility 
in transmit and receive frequencies than even the 'RIT'.  But you still 
don't have Passband Tuning, which is enough to give the separates the 
nod, especially for CW and to a lesser extent with SSB.

Transceivers are for SSB!!   :-)

Unless you are a low-band contester, I think you'll STILL prefer your 
R-4Bs over the Sherwood 'C'!!
