John,
I agree with Lee. You'll pay a premium for the CWRIT, and gain
little or nothing. Assuming your using a paddle, you'll need an
outboard keyer either way you go. The R4C is an excellent cw rcvr,
(more versatile than the TR-4) even without the narrower filters.
The bandpass tuning is very effective and the filters are pretty easy
to find if you want them.
Otherwise, whatever Garey "says"
