[Drake] R-4C problem

Ed,
  There is a modification that was first described in the March 1977 issue 
of Ham Radio Magazine that involved re-routing the wiring from the power 
supply board to the filter capacitor outside of the main wire harness and 
moving the red/yellow transformer wire from the back of the chassis to the 
lug of the filter capacitor. If your interested I will scan the artical for 
you.
   By the way most if not all of the R-4C modifications were first published 
in Ham Radio and  CQ magazines as well as papers from Sartori, Fox Tango, 
and of course Sherwood.
