[Drake] TR4C repairs

Ok Bill and Doug,
Thanks for your replies. My readings were similar; Xmit gain 9:30,
plate 7, load 3, RF tune 6,
output 150 watts, current 450.
Looks like I may not have fallen into the s*&% again. At first it was
back to it's old ways and was showing 600ma plate current with all
controls full ccw except for sideband switch at X. This occured right
after a repeat neutralization using my scope. I will not say this time
that I FIXED IT I FIXED IT because I will wait and see.
I also went over the band switch wafers again and pressed on every
contact, using a high magnifier and made sure all were actually
lifting up when the contacts made. A couple were iffy. I did a good
cleaning and put Deoxit on the rotating discs.
In my 72 years I have eaten lots of crow but it never tasted so bad as
this, when the plate current shot up.
Wish me luck and maybe my nightmare is over.

Hi Dick. My settings are about identical to Bill K3PGB. Slightly
higher output at 165 watts at 500ma as measured on the Bird 43. 73
