[Drake] TR3 Help needed

Hello Drake owners. Needing some help here with my TR3. I was trying to use 10 meters and found that things are not right. When i Bought the TR3 from another ham the radio was not working. The 12JB6 tubes where toast and i had to replace one of the resistors under the middle 12JB6 tubes. I think it was a 1 watt 27 ohm resistor. Anyway this other ham show me a wire the look like it came off of the band switch. the wire comes from a stand off by V5 12BA6 to the waffer band switch in the middle of the radio. Now i have seen a wire that they use in heathkits for tuning that just hangs in the air like that as well. Could this Brown and white wire be there for some kind of tuning or has it come off of the band switch? Rick VE7RiK
