Hello,

 

I am trying to fix up a 7077 mic for use with my TR7.  The mic is basically
a mess inside-wires cut and a few parts that don't look like they belong.
While I am at it, might have to replace the element since I am not sure if
it is working.  Can I still get the original element (from Astatic)?  If so,
does anyone know the part number?  Would another type of mic/element be
better matched to it?  I can use a Heil mic with adapter but not sure if it
will provide the most optimal audio? Also heard D104 crystal elements work
well.  I am just looking for clear articulate SSB for optimal comms.

 

Any advice or comments would be appreciated.
