In all honesty, "brand new" does not apply to an old item that was never 
used. Better to say "NOS" as in New Old Stock etc. Some people consider 
saying "brand new" when it is X years old, regardless of the fact it has 
never been unpacked or unpacked but never used, as deceptive.

I am not accusing you of anything whatsoever. Just pointing out that saying 
"brand new" with vintage equipment can be asking for problems.
