[Drake] Drake 2A knobs/Chassis

Greetings all,

     Today at a garage sale I had the good fortune to buy a Drake 2A Receiver. 
I performed a thorough visual inspection of the units interior and was 
satisfied with its out-word appearance and powered it up with a variac 
without issue. It actually works! :-) I've been listening to it now for an 
hour on twenty meter CW. Great fun.

      Two cosmetic issues:

     1. The copper chassis is filthy, no corrosion. How to clean without 
disassembly?

     2. All the knobs are original, however on the smaller knobs the crome 
paint on the pointer has worn off, any ideas on how to repair?

     All of the knob labeling is completely legible, the same is true for the 
chassis, except for all the grit covering the various lables for tubes etc.

    For twenty bucks, ya can't go to wrong! :-)
