Well I figured out what happened with the TR-7.  It turns out I didn't
get the exciter board installed quite right. the board slipped out of
it's key way and then shorted it's self against one the dividers. So
much for being careful. When I discovered this I looked at the other
boards in this area and I noticed they have little red bumpers to
prevent this from happening, most of them are broken off,  Drake could
have done a better job of this.  What I am going to do is use the
rubber plugs used to fix holes in tubeless tires. They come in several
diameters, what I will do is attach them and trim them to length.
