[Drake] Trials and tribulations

does somebody have a good photo of the DR-7 board installed. I want to
make sure I installed the top end plugs in the correct place and
direction.

One thing I notice about this TR-7 is it has been apart a bunch. The
rig belonged to the National Science foundation and was used to
maintain communications with their research stations in the Antarctic.
It must have bunch of hours on it.

As I have pointed out I got this TR-7 with a pair of Sunair R-9200
receivers also from the National Science Foundation. If any of you get
a chance to get one of these receivers they are absolutely fantastic
except for one thing. Don't expect any support for these radios from
Sunair. They will not answer any questions, and they do not answer
inquiries about parts. Their Electro-luminescent back light panels are
worn out. I followed their instructions for finding out about
replacement panels, the only answer I received was a note telling me
these 13 year old radios where no longer under warranty, (what?)
Unless you are a big commercial customer they don't want to be
bothered.

I have the manual for the Sunair RT-9000 which also covers the R-9200
if anyone needs a copy let me know I have it in PDF form, save
yourself the 80 bucks it costs to get one from Sunair.
