[Drake] Tubes???

The audiophools have gone "ape" over the 12AX7 tubes
and they run all over the place in prices due to their
"desirablility" to those persons.

Frankly, the cheapest 12AX7 should work just as well
as the most expensive, especially in any amateur radio
unit.  If you want my opinion, like 99.999% of the
audiophools cannot really tell the difference in the
performance between any of the 12AX7 tubes.  It is
just that they have been "told" that one brand is
better than another or that one element configuration
is better than another.
