[Drake] Best mic for Drake TR-4

I sense that Drake might have sold the Shure 444 for their equipment, but I 
am curious. I have a hugely inexpensive crystal (or is it ceramic?) mic on 
my TR-4 right now. Although the audio is good, I am told it's a bit too 
"punchy" for the average QSO. And so, I am looking for something else. Any 
recommendations? Thanks.
