Hi Troy,

To the best of my knowledge, all L-7s had the blue filters. I nearly passed 
mine up at a hamfest because it looked like one of those high end stereo amps! 
Thankfully, my buddy who was with me pointed out that it said Drake on the 
panel which prompted a closer look and a new home for the amp.

A good place to find some blue "gel" is if you have a stage or other lighting 
store in your vicinity. Ask to see their blue gel samples and they will show 
you a little book with what looks like a paint chip chart. You can select 
almost any shade of blue you want.
