Scott -

The calibrator is not a good indicator of receiver sensitivity.  You 
need either a good signal generator or something like the Elecraft 
XG-1.  I don't know how I ever got along without it!   Well, yes I do, I 
have a room full of test equipment.  But more often than not, I can tell 
all I need to know about a receiver's general condition with just the 
little XG-1.  And it's a LOT lighter!
