Joe -
I've never tried them, but I would say iffy at best.
The gain and plate resistance are considerably lower than the 6JB6, and
the interlectrode capacitances are much higher.
Might work, might not. You would probably have to change the fixed
neutralizing capacitor at least.
If you have some and try them, let us know what happens!!
