[Drake] R-4C - Differences from Schematic

In the process of refurbishing my R-4C, I came across the following
differences between the unit and any manual for it.

1. A 1.5 Kohm (instead of a 470 ohm) resistor between the cathode lead
(pin 7) of V2 and ground;

2. A .01 MFD capacitor across pins 4 and 6 of V2;

I'd appreciate any information on the rationale for these changes from
the schematics; the second one, in particular, has me baffled.

The radio has a mid-18K serial number. While I've modified it
considerably, the changes are not my doing. (It's factory 'stock' in
this regard).

Thanks.
