I've had a couple 2B's with the 160 mod, one inexplicably worked better  than 
the other, but I recall it's sensitive to pre-selector  alignment.  Both were 
very useable.  I may have the mod laying around,  someone on the list sent me 
a copy a few years ago.
 
There's a LOT of C dumped into the preselector on the A bandswitch  position 
to make it work.
 
If you want the 2B on 160, its not a bad way to go, a crystal, a few micas  
and a few big trimmers that go into holes that are already in the chassis.
