[Drake] R-4C GUF-1 filter: which to get, 6 or 8 khz?

Hi guys,
I've been enjoying my R-4C on CW and have decided I want to get the
International Radio GUF-1 to replace the stock first IF filter so as to
eliminate the annoying IF feed-through.
I figure that the 6 khz is still wide enough not to further decrease the SSB
bandwidth and it would be a dandy bandwidth to use for AM, thus saving from
having to buy a separate 6 khz AM filter. 8 khz is a little wide for AM
under crowded conditions.
But......any other pros or cons to the 6 khz GUF-1? At the present I don't
have the noise blanker (maybe someday?) but I think 6 khz would still be
wide enough for it to function well.
thanks,
John
