The HFO oscillators in the B & C are identical.   The "Common" lead on 
the accessory crystal bank is NOT chassis ground, but is in fact the 
input to the common base oscillator / amplifier.  So the "Hot" lead of 
the E-Tek has to be connected to the "common" side of any of the crystal 
sockets, with the ground side going to the chassis.
