Have had the same thing happen to me. This may be a bit OT, but.....
What is the difference between the "old" speech proc and the newer ones?
I have heard newer rigs that obviously make things much better, while the
older ones (aka SP-75) are not so great. Both under similar band and RX
conditions.
I know that the little MFJ QRP rigs seems to sound nice with what seems to
be fairly heavy processing. Why does that seem better while others seem
distorted? Is it only setting things incorrectly? Are the newer single
chip audio processors that much better then "the old" technology?
