Windex, and particularly the 'orange' based cleaners are great for removing 
smoke residue. Don't EVER use Castrol Super Clean! I used to use Simple Green, 
that is, until the Orange cleaners hit the mkt.
The front panels can then be polished with any good car wax. Armor-All brand 
is excellent but difficult to find. If the wax is "Clear Coat Safe", there is 
NO way it will damage the paint. I would refrain from using ANY polishing 
compound.
