[Drake] R4 receiver

Bob,

I have a R4B and a late R4C model (manufactured in 1976). I think both
outstanding radios but I believe that the R4B has a better receiver for the
low bands (40, 80, 160) due to less receiver noise. On the other hand, I
think the R4C is a better catch for higher bands as 10 and 15. Eventhough
both are very good receivers, much better than radios I have owned in the
last few years as the Icom IC746 and the Kenwood TS850. These new radios
overload easily on 20m during a contest, I mean, when a strong signal shows
up on the band the noise floor increases some s-units.

Do you guys feel the same?
