When Drake first began to market the 2NT/2C combo, they mentioned in ads that 
a vfo would be forthcoming.  However, they never did introduce one.

Probably the most commonly used vfo with the 2NT/2C combo is the 
Hallicrafters HA-5.  I use a 2NT/2C/HA-5 combination (all purchased new by me) and it 
plays quite nicely.  With the HA-1 keyer sitting on the desk as well, the station 
looks good too!
