I like the idea of a dedicated desk for Drake or Collins eqt. But after 
looking at the designs, who will pay for the extension to the house, let 
alone the eqt to fill the slots!!!

A three piece sectored corner unit, with each section being about a metre 
wide, might be the most useable. Long units make it hard to reach the gear 
at the ends.The depth could be the adjusted to suit the eqt in use. Maybe 
about a 350 - 450mm wide desk top, then a 250mm - 300mm sloping section to 
house the most used eqt & finally shelves up the back for the rest of the 
gear. Some of the lower cupboards, or draws,  could be false & would 
actually house the PSU's & cooling ducts/fans, power outlets, cabling etc.

It would have to look a lot better than gear stacked on a table, and be 
easier to use.
