To all my Drake friends,

Regarding the desk, I believe you guys are right on target.  For years, I
have improvised and turned into a pretty good woodworker just to satisfy my
radio needs.

Well, if anyone can help with some good picture examples, from several
angles, I would love to draw up some plans for a mass produced prototype.  I
am a civil engineer (sorry to all you electrical guys) and more than willing
to get the old "T" square out for a noble project as this.  Also, more
importantly, I have a good friend in the cabinet business that is always
looking for a niche.  Recently we collaborated on a humidity controlled
guitar/stringed intrument cabinet.

I would assume the design criteria should be made as flexible as possible,
such that the desk could be adapted to a variety of environments and
equipment.  It should also be fairly lightweight such that it can be shipped
at a reasonable cost.  Probably needs to be a do-it-yourself assembly thing.

Any ideas?  In the meantime, I'll dig out my old qst's from the 70's and
look for examples.
