The stock TV-7 will not test 6JB6's or any other Novar based tube.
 
You will need an adapter connected as follows

Octal Plug       9 Pin Novar Socket
    1                              1
    2                              2
    3                              3
    4                              4
    5                              5
    6                              6
    7                              8
    8                              9

Fil    Set             Bias    Range      Press       Min      New
6.3  EV2-0137      40        C         2 then 3      54        100

Press '2 then 3' means to press and hold 2 and then press 3.

Dan Nelson <djn at ieee.org> used to offer a pair of adapters and a list of 
test data for most sweep tubes for about $25.  I don't know if they are 
still available.
