Bill, Ron,
I have an RF gain control on my R4B with either epoxy, or Cool-Kem
(spelling?) on it. It's plastic was cracked from being "string armed"
around the stopping point. For plastics I often use Cool-Kem. I bought
it at Dayton Hamvention figured it was worth a try on some items I had
need of fixing. Phonetic seems to take well to epoxy, while plastics and
metal take to Cool-Kem. You do need to watch the acitone activator on
platics as it can tend to eat/etch them.
