Well John, since the finals are grid driven class AB1 (more or less) 
linear amplifier, they would be a different class.  So a lower bias then 
recommended would move it closer to class C and higher toward class A as I 
understand it. So more or less, class C distortion, class A low tube 
life, and 100ma best balance of linearity and tube life.
