I have my QXer attached to my 2B.  I have seen QXers attached to 
Non-Drake RX.  Basically was designed for any 455 Kc IF RX.

take a look at http://www.dproducts.be/Drake_Museum/qx'er.htm  The 
origianl manual was like 7 or so sheets of paper (much similar times I 
guess).
