Guys....this is what I did.....

I verified the value and voltage rating of the original lytics and
marked the schematic if different (they were) and completely removed
them from the chassis. I bought all new radial lead (not axial lead)
lytics of the same value and voltage rating as the original lytics. I
made 2 ckt boards from 1/32 inch non-clad printed ckt board material and
fit them to each end of the power supply and then drilled holes for the
lytic legs and then mounted them with a dab of silicone glue to the ckt
board. Next, I mounted the ckt boards on each end of the AC-4 using 4-40
bolts & nuts and 1/2" stand-offs. The size of these ckt boards are as
big as possible to fit into the available space between the transformer
and the ends of the enclosure. This is just about the only way to go as
there is nowhere near enough room to put new caps under the chassis.
Removing the old caps, cutting them open and putting new caps inside is
a terrible mess and is really more work than what I did. It works
great!!
