Hi all,
After some measurements I found out that the power supply was not working
as it should. The fault turned out to be a shortened capacitor. After
replacement the receiver performed better, but not completely.
With the band switch on 12 MHz, the selection of the bands from 10.5 to and
including 13.5 MHz works fine. When switching to 14 MHz, the display shows
4 MHz with a distinct audio tick in the speaker during switching.
The same goes for 14.5 and 15 MHz. Turning the VFO knob alters the frequency.
With the band switch on 16.5 MHz, the display shows 10.175 MHz in all
bands, turning the VFO knob gives no respons.
With the band switch on 22 MHz the display shows 12.5, 13 and 13.5 MHz,
further switching shows 24 MHz. All higher bands work ok.
Any idea's on what this could be? Dirty rotary band switch?
Thanks in advance,
Cornel van Ravenswaaij
