[Drake] RR3 with a problem

Hi all,

I have a RR3 receiver (more or less a maritime version of the R7) which has 
a problem.
When I select a band and try to switch from one 500 kHz portion to another 
one with the Up and Down switch, the receiver doesn't react. Or the display 
indicates a totally wrong frequency. The problem occurs only in the higher 
bands like 12 MHz and up.
Anyone any thoughts on this? I suspect the 5 Volt power supply being too 
low due to bad capacitors, but had no time to look into that.
