[Drake] Has nyone improved R4B Low Frequency Audio Response?

I'm using an R4B for SWLing and AM work and would like to extend its LF audio 
response, and possible reduce distortion as well.  

Hs anyone played with this or remember seeing any articles on it?  Any help 
really appreciated.
