I love my Tr-7. I am troubled, however, by triggering of the VOX buy =
all sorts of things. Frequently just touching another piece of =
equipment in the shack will to it...esp. if there is a small static =
spark to the equipment. I prefer to use an EV-664 mic with the TR-7; =
but typically the VOX will be triggered by simply touching the 664 =
microphone. The problem is eliminated by using the plastic Drake 7077 =
mic...but it lacks the 'presence" of the 664. Presently I am limited to =
PTT operation with the TR-7 unless I use the Drake 7077. I have no =
such problem with any other rig including a solid state Yaesu Ft 1000mp =
Mark V. My shack grounding seems quite adequate.

Do others of you have this experience? Do you have any suggestions to =
fix the problem?

Tnx & 73's
