[Drake] right angle plugs

If you can live with a straight plug (which I prefer to a right angle,
because it gets the cable away from the front panel), R&L Electronics,
Hamilton Ohio, has them for $2.00 each. Have no idea what their minimum
order is, but they have a ton of them in stock. Their part number is "drake
plug". It beats the rip off prices of $10,$12 and $15. http://randl.com

Regarding the ham looking for Drake mic input right angle plugs, I did take
orders some time back for such plugs. Ended up ordering 12 from Mouser,
keeping one (all I really wanted in the first place...probably like you),
and selling the rest on this reflector for what it cost me.....I think
around $10 or so each. When I advertized the order on the reflector, I
filled my limit in less than 12 hours! Maybe its your turn to give that
route a try. Mouser does give quantity discounts on parts of this kind.
Also, they may even have some in stock, but you will need to call
them.......its hard to locate the plug on the web site without the part
number, as I remember. I have heard of other supply houses that also stock
them but can't remember the names
There is a guy on ebay selling them for $14.95 each plus shipping, and if
you only want one and price is not an issue, you can go there.
Yes, heil does have them, but are reluctant to sell you one if you are not a
mic customer. You could give it a try though.
If you can't find the mouser phone number on the web, I'm sure someone on
the reflector will help you out. Also, you can try the www.wb4hfn.com web
site for additional Drake information. Ron has lots of info on parts and a
couple sources for the right angle plugs, as I recall. Several Drake
collectors/hams contribute to the site in an effort to support all the old
stuff. Also, the site has a serial number data base that can help date a
rig.
Hope all of this helps,
